College Entrance Exam Review Seminar
On the afternoon of 3rd December, 2024, the Senior Three teachers of the English group of our school participated in the College Entrance Examination review seminar held in Anqing No. 1 Middle School.
First and foremost, before the seminar, teacher Cheng Songmei, leader of the English teaching and research group of Anqing No. 1 Middle School, introduced the schedule of activities in the afternoon.
In addition, the topic of Lu Dan's College Entrance Examination review seminar is expository reading comprehension skills, which was introduced by AI intelligence, presenting the teacher and the main contents of this course in the tone of Shakespeare. Also, the introduction of the classroom teaching was novel, and the classroom atmosphere was democratic and harmonious as well. For one thing, Lu Dan organized the review class in fluent English. For another, students were active in answering questions. Besides, Lu Dan used the form of mind maps to showcase the structure of expository reading comprehension intuitively with favorable effect.
Furthermore, teacher Peng Kaiyin from Anqing No. 1 Middle School delivered a lecture entitled 'Reading Comprehension Preparation Strategies under the Background of the New College Entrance Examination Transition', which was divided into four parts: firstly, Peng Kaiyin analyzed the proposition basis of College Entrance Examination English papers; Secondly, she conducted analysis of the new curriculum standard English test; Thirdly, Peng Kaiyin proceeded reading comprehension question type interpretation; Last but not the least, she offered reading comprehension test prep tips. Evidently, the contents of the lecture were practical and beneficial to everyone.
Last but not the least, Anqing No. 1 Middle School's teacher Liu Shaobing gave a lecture on Strategies for Filling in the Blanks in English Grammar for the 2025 College Entrance Examination, which was divided into four parts: Initially, Liu Shaobing conducted interpretation of question types of grammar filling; Moreover, he proceeded analysis of grammar filling in Volume 1 of the new curriculum standard of College Entrance Examination in recent two years; Additionally, Liu Shaobing implemented analysis of key teaching points of grammar filling; Also, he provided grammar filling review suggestions. Obviously, the contents of the lecture were explained with profundity and an easy-to-understand approach with vivid examples as well, which resonated with the participating teachers.
